FIRE ** WINTER DANCE ** SWEAT LODGE
Come congregate in the the dark depths of winter, as our ancestors once did in longhouses and caves; we’ll dance and shelter together in kinship and feed our imaginations around the hearth.
A winter ceremony group held by Sue Rickards with Becca Parkinson and Rachel Smith happening over 4 residential days at the very special Earth Spirit Centre in Somerset, where Hilary Kneale will lead the fire ceremony.
This is a call to the untamed in us which is not entirely satisfied by the artificial light of devices or tv.
This is call to that in us which wants the heat of real fire, real company and real aliveness.
We gather outside in nature by a blazing FIRE while it speaks to us and we listen to our own nature.
We work with FIRE as a metaphor.
We dance and become enchanted by mysterious stories.
We dance, however each moment takes us, invoking mystery to choreograph our time together.
We remember our natural kinship and make friends .
In the optional Sweat Lodge Ceremony we can offer our prayers, for ourselves and the world, to the night sky.
This is the fifth gathering of FIRE, as we congregate in the darkness of winter, to enrich our imagination and lives throughout the year..
